“The Lagos-based pop rocker croons cleverly as the anti-Zooey-Deschanel type.” – ROLLING STONE

“Nigerian indie-pop powerhouse SOLIS4EVR takes listeners on a dizzying ride.” - CELEBMIX
This summer the dreamy SOLIS4EVR, a dynamic force in the world of pop music graced the scene with the release of her dynamically explosive yet emotionally raw, pop rock single ‘sorry 4 calling’ ft Dreamer Isioma, and then her new EP GHOST TOWN (out now on Troniq Music).

With a magnetic stage presence and a voice that dazzles like a constellation, she has captivated audiences worldwide with her blend of bedroom pop, soft ballads, alternative soul and indie rock. With an infectious blend of vibrant melodies and catchy hooks, SOLIS4EVR’s voice sweeps through listeners like a contagion, leaving them hooked on her irresistible charm and rhythm.

Today she unveils the must-see, self-directed visual for ‘sorry 4 calling’ which sees SOLIS4EVR as an aspiring performer who is in the process of auditioning for a show, whilst in her personal life she has been ghosted by her lover and simply can not process it. Calling him everyday to no avail and with no closure, we see her mental state rapidly dwindle as she grows more erratic and distraught as time passes. The visual reaches a crescendo as her lover walks in to the auditorium during her callback performance which causes her to faint.

Speaking on the visual SOLIS4EVR says:
“I wanted the visual depiction of ‘sorry 4 calling’ to be an independent story, from its origin story; I wanted to surprise my listeners and pull them into something new. Everything I create is a new world, I’m creating worlds inside worlds…and thus the ‘sorry 4 calling lore’ expands. Directing this video was a dream come true and I couldn’t be more proud that this is my directorial debut. Being a storyteller is deeply important to me and I hope this story inspires something in someone, I hope it makes you feel.”

Released in the summer and bursting with electrifying guitar riffs and pulsating rhythms, the GHOST TOWN EP sets the stage for a thrilling musical journey for both SOLIS4EVR and her listeners.

Setting the scene on the EP’s opener and title track with 80s synths and hazy, stadium rock sensibilities, the 6-track project takes us on a journey through the heartbreak and dizzying emotions a break-up brings from realising she is now alone to reminiscing on her past relationship and inevitably making the all-too-human mistake of drunk calling her ex on ‘sorry 4 calling’. The familiar doom and gloom of the break-up is set against up-tempo pop instrumentation and bouncy lyrical anthems brimming with hope that there is life on the other side of the heartache. Proving that she is capable of taking matters into her own hands, SOLIS4EVR is defiant on ‘girl on a mission’ - her collaboration with the alternative singer-songwriter and previous collaborator Cruel Santino and fashion designer and music artist MOWALOLA – and displays a range of relatable moods and sentiments across the EP.

Initially performing cover songs on her YouTube channel, she gained wider public attention via her feature on Odunsi (The Engine)’s debut album rare, on the track ‘Hectic’ - alongside Amaarae and 234jaydaa - and her viral first single ‘Watch Me’ in 2019. This was swiftly followed by collaborations with some of Nigerian’s leading alternative acts such as Lady Donli and Cruel Santino.

SOLIS4EVR released her debut EP Stairway To Heaven at the end of 2021 which included the popular lead single ‘Abeg’ ft the LA based music act AmindIand went on to amass over half a million streams.

Bursting with creativity and already carving out a niche for herself at the age of 23 with her distinct storytelling, hypnotic vocals and recognisable ‘Libra’ aesthetic, SOLIS4EVR is ushering in an exciting new era with her new EP, recent signing to Troniq Music – also the home of Afropop superstar Oxlade – as the label’s first female artist and the promise of more new music, visuals and creative projects throughout the year.
