AFRICA'S HIGHLIFE KING FLAVOUR THRILLS SOLD-OUT AUDIENCE OF 12,500 AT OVO ARENA WEMBLEY

Barely a year after his sold-out UK tour last summer, which saw an extra date added to the London leg of the tour due to high demand, Nigerian pop icon and highlife king FLAVOUR returned to London this past Sunday, August 25, for his biggest concert in the United Kingdom yet. Flavour took over the sold-out OVO Arena in Wembley, as part of his ‘African Royalty’ European tour, which kicked off in France in June, and culminates in the Netherlands in September, performing songs from his latest album AFRICAN ROYALTY, in addition to other fan favourites. After his European tour concludes, Flavour then takes the ‘African Royalty’ live experience to North America for his highly anticipated Canadian tour, before a homecoming tour across West Africa to close out 2024.

Flavour’s ‘African Royalty’ tour is named after his latest album African Royalty, which was released in December to rave reviews and acclaim from fans and critics alike. Conceived as a celebration of the richness and beauty of African culture and music, the album has already garnered over 200 million global streams, and birthed two chart-topping hit singles, ‘Big Baller’ and ‘Her Excellency’. Speaking about the inspiration behind the African Royalty album and its accompanying tour, Flavour says, “it’s a title that speaks to me, and captures the whole essence of my music. I feel there are positive sides to us as Africans that are not being given enough attention. There is more to us than meets the eye”.
