“Whoisakin blends confessional, open-wound R&B with willowy, propulsive Afrobeats rhythm.” – ROLLING STONE Following his stand-out debut EP ‘Full Moon Weekends’ and its instant fan favourites such as ‘Energy’, ‘Space’ and ‘Magic’, the 23 year old Nigerian singer Whoisakin – known as the werewolf by some of his fans - returns to offer his catchy new single ‘Let Me Love You’ (out now on emPawa Africa).
Mixing cool, intricate Afropop beats with mesmerising future-R&B vocals and melodies, the Ileri--produced track sees the Lagos native Whoisakin adding his own spin on modern romance as he professes his love for a special lady.
Last year, Whoisakin introduced the world to his unique sound on his debut EP ‘Full Moon Weekends’ featuring hybrid sounds ranging from R&B through to bouncy Afrobeats, delivered through expressive lyricism depicting millennial love.
Creating his own universe and keeping his identity an enigma, the uniqueness of his music and narrative have made the moon boy, lover boy, biker and werewolf all a part of his character and all get a chance to be displayed in his songs which have gained international recognition through the likes of Rolling Stone, Apple Music, Medium and more.
