It was recently announced that the Jay Z and Weinstein Company-produced docuseries, TIME: The Kalief Browder Story would be heading to the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in January. For those eagerly wanting to know more about the film, the first trailer has now been released. The story is quite a sad one, but it’s a tale that must be told in order to inform others about the short-comings of our justice system. As the official description states: “TIME: The Kalief Browder Story is a documentary series about a 16 year-old student from the Bronx who spent three years on Rikers Island without ever being convicted of a crime.” READ MORE: HERE
