Mr Mini premiered his brand new video for his Eminem-esque track ‘Hi I’m Mr Mini’ with Clash Magazine this morning http://www.clashmusic.com/videos/premiere-mr-mini-hi-im-mr-mini , showcasing his humorous and witty side in the visuals. Mr Mini is seen in various places throughout the video such as a hotel room, a mental institute room and a barber shop, with some of the lyrics jumping across the scene every so often. He delivers each character seen like a professional actor, making it stand out from the rest.
Chugging along on a boinging electro funk beat, spitting out lyrics with a cartoon character delivery alongside a fusillade of bustling sound effects. Funny and serious simultaneously, the rapper introduces himself in a self-professed crazy offering shaped as ‘Hi I’m Mr Mini’. The melodic funk on the beat makes for a guaranteed head nodder but partnered with the insanity of the lyrics the track makes for pure entertainment, one of those tracks that will bounce around your head and you’ll instantly recognize as it drops out of the speakers.
But asmuch as this is an introduction to the rapper, Mr Mini is no newcomer to the game. Having previously featured on DJ Cameo's track ‘Who’s Dat’, where he featured alongside Lady Leshurr, Scrufizzer, Krept & Konan, Mr Mini started appearing on freestyles with Kano and Tinie Tempah at the age of just 14.He’s produced for some of the hottest names in urban music including Maxsta, Krept & Konan, Manga & Stylo G as well as producing and writing his entire mixtape ‘Take It or Leave It’, which saw him selected as a BBC Introducing artist gaining support from DJ Semtex, Charlie Sloth and DJ Target.
