23-year-old suspected of killing a DJ five years ago and then fleeing to Nigeria has been charged with murder.
Jeffrey Okafor, wanted over the death of Carl Beatson Asiedu in August 2009, was arrested by detectives at Heathrow Airport after he was flown back to Britain. He was held by authorities in the west African state on September 23.
Scotland Yard said that he would appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Student Mr Asiedu, 19, was stabbed in the heart in Goding Street, Vauxhall, south London, after performing a set at the nearby Club Life nightclub.
