Long before TV One’s docudrama, “R&B DIVAS”, reignited her career, there was already more to her than meets the eye. Born and raised in East Harlem – NY, the big-voiced girl with the West African name has been in the spotlight since she was seven years old. With that talent behind her, MONIFAH burst onto the R&B music scene underneath the wings of the late “Heavy D”.
In 1996 was signed to Uptown/MCA records who released her debut album that contained the double-platinum single “I Miss You” plus other hit tracks that were certified gold. Back on the music scene, following her T.V. success, she is shortly releasing
“One Moment” and “Blueprint” worldwide via Famous Records.
