Katie Hopkins has labelled Angelina Jolie ‘smug’, after the actress revealed she’d had her ovaries removed to reduce her risk of cancer.
Yesterday Jolie publicly announced she had undergone surgery to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed, revealing in a column for the New York Times that doctors had detected possible early signs of cancer.
She previously underwent a double mastectomy after discovering she carries a mutation in the BRCA1 gene, which greatly increases the chances of developing breast and ovarian cancer.
But while most praised the 39-year-old for her bravery in choosing to open up about her surgery, there was one person who was far from impressed.
Celebrity Big Brother runner-up Katie Hopkins accused Jolie of ‘curating her organs to maximise life expectancy’, saying: ‘Smug doesn’t even come close’.
