Afrobeats has risen to become one of the hottest music genres in the world. Its infectious beats, created from a melting pot of influences from different countries, don’t make it hard to understand why the music is taking over and giving a new life and energy to the industry buzzing with talents.
With superstars like Wizkid, David O, Iceprince, May7ven and Dbanj flying high internationally, Fame Music is looking for the Next Afrobeats Superstar to take them to a global audience.
With the competition now opened in Africa, Up-coming Afrobeats talents can upload an original track and a quick 30 second video introducing themselves and their story online to https://www.famemusic.com/competition/details/afrobeats-search-for-a-star
15 semi-finalists will be announced on 16th March via fame music website. These Top 15 will then be asked to upload another original song, with the winner being chosen by the exclusive panel of top industry judges, and be revealed on 30th March.
The carefully selected panel of judges are BET/MTV/Mobo Award Winning rapper Ice Prince, critically acclaimed Award winning Afrobeats Queen May7ven, Pioneering urban radio presenter and DJAbrantee, and one of the most sought after producers in Ghana Mix Masta Garzy.
THE PRIZE!
The winner will receive a range of life-changing prizes, including being flown to London to produce their track with renowned Ghanaian producer Mix Masta Garzy, having their song played on the UK’s biggest Afrobeats Show by DJ Abrantee on Capital Xtra, a live performance at the world famous Jazz Café, Camden for Afrobeats Live, plus an international release of the track facilitated by Fame Music. The runner up in 2nd place can win $1000 prize and 3rd runner up to win $600 prize
