After Jimmy Morris found out his daughter’s boyfriend beat her in front of her children, police say he took matters into his own hands, grabbed a baseball bat and knocked him over the head.
When police arrived at the scene, Courtney Grace pointed a finger at Morris, but a crowd surrounding the pair said Grace was the one who beat his girlfriend, who was sitting in the bed of a truck with her hands holding her swollen and bloody face, according to the police report.
Morris grabbed a baseball bat from his truck and hit him over the head with it, according to the report. Police say Morris hit the 31-year-old so hard that the bat split in two.
