We’ve all been there. You’re on the way to work in a fragile mood, someone stands a bit too close to you on the Tube and you unleash the expletives.
Nothing unusual there, but spare a thought for the poor soul who did this then hours later found himself face to face with his ‘victim’ – at a job interview.
HR executive Matt Buckland was heading to work at Forward Partners, a venture capital firm, when he had one such encounter on the District line.
Following the “incident” he later informed his 80,000 followers: “Karma – the guy who pushed past me on the tube and then suggested I go F myself just arrived for his interview… with me…”
It’s an undeniably dickish way to behave but we can’t help but feel sorry for the guy.
However rather than baying for blood, Buckland sounds like he was a consummate professional when faced with his foe.
The interviewee apparently didn’t recognise Buckland at first, but the penny dropped after he asked a few searching morning commute-related questions.
