Following Monday's release of the feel-good “Romantic Boy” video from her upcoming album Pieces of Me, today sees Afro-soul sensation Lami teasing fans just a tad bit more with a brand new single "Miss You Missin Me".
Written, arranged and produced by Lami Phillips and recorded in the UK and freshly premiered in Beat FM 99.9, "Miss You Missin Me" has already been described by Lami's critical listeners as "good old school baby making music."
"It's best to stay in your lane," Lami says of her choice of Afro funk soul. "When trying to be someone you're not always authentic. Where we are right now there are different types of music, and that's a good thing."
Of "Miss You Missin Me" Lami says, "I wrote, produced and arranged this song, did all my backing vocals and the most complex notes and progressions I've attempted in a long while."
Lami prepares for her much anticipated sophomore album set to drop in February 2015 - just in time for Valentine's Day. Ice Prince and Olamide are some of the stellar collaborations on the album.
