The LG G3, the latest and greatest handset from the South Korean phone maker, is due to make its first official appearance this evening in London, but it looks like the cat’s already out the bag: LG Netherlands has managed to post up an official product page a day early, giving us a good look at the brand new phone, including its killer 5.5-inch 2560×1440 display, a 13-Megapixel snapper complete with laser autofocus and a svelte brushed-metal body. LG’s latest flagship blower is nearly here, and it looks like it packs in plenty of super powered smarts. LG Netherlands has posted up a product page (which has since been taken down) of the new Android smartphone, and there’s plenty to get excited about. First up is its hearty 5.5-inch, quad HD display, which has been previously rumoured, and it looks like it’ll putSamsung’s flagship 1080p Galaxy S5 to shame. Under the hood, the G3 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, which will provide “up to” 2.5GHz of processing power, while you’ll also find 2GB of RAM onboard, which is less than what was previously rumoured, but will still let it chomp through any multitasking tasks you throw at it. There’s also a healthy 16GB of storage built-in too, which can be boosted by a microSD card.

Just like the G2 before it, you’ll find volume buttons on the rear of the phone, plus the handset’s design has been given a slick, brushed-metal finish this time around in black, gold and silver hues. On the back of the phone, next to the 13-Megapixel snapper, you’ll find a black spot next to the lens, which is actually a laser which is designed to give you quick and accurate auto-focusing – a first for smartphones, according to LG – but we’ll have to wait and see the phone in the flesh to confirm how fast the focusing is. You’ll also find a 2.1-Megapixel snapper up-front, which should prove to snap sharp selfies.
There’s little left to be revealed ahead of tonight’s launch, but we’re still waiting to hear details on pricing and availability – we’ll be sure to keep you informed of the latest details as soon as we hear them.
