It appears that things may be all bad for Brooklyn native and rapper Mos Def, AKA Yasiin Bey. Reports are saying that the MC was forced to cancel U.S. tour dates, along with his performance in the Together Boston Music Festival, due to reports of immigration issues??
It looks like those immigration issues are of serious nature. So serious that Together Boston released a statement on their website:
“We regret to inform you that due to immigration / legal issues Yasiin Bey is unable to enter back into the United States and his upcoming U.S. tour has been canceled, including May 15th, Together Boston’s show at The Wilbur Theatre. Individual ticket refunds for this show are available at point of sale.” Reports suggest that Yasiin Bey is in Africa due to the fact that the lyricist was last linked to working on The Time Is Always Now campaign, which was a number of live-stream events paying homage to boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
Hmmm… We wonder what type of immigration issues the U.S. born rapper is experiencing. Any guesses from you readers? Damn homie! Hopefully we get some update in the near future of when Bey will be able to get back to the states! Stay tuned!
