What would you do with a lotto win?

Everyone who’s ever bought a lotto ticket has had that daydream about how they’d spend the money if they were to win the jackpot. But with a 1 in almost 114 million chance, on the UK jackpot,
we all know it’s really only going to be a daydream.

Then again, don’t be so sure. Since the UK National Lottery was launched in 1994, over 3,000 people have been made instant millionaires, in some cases multi-millionaires. And in a survey on what they spent the money on,  many followed a similar pattern. High on the list was a new house, or a

second home. Other popular purchases for lottery millionaires are luxury cars and going on fantastic overseas trips.

Many lotto winners are sensible with their win, putting aside investments for the future, but a lot of winners do end up in the newspapers, having splurged all of their money and ending up being back where they started. Probably the best advice for any future lotto winner out there is to get some sound financial advice before you spend out on any luxuries.

But before you start planning how to manage a win, you’ve got to be in with a chance of winning, and if you really want to go for the jackpot, then you’d be better playing the Irish lotto instead,

as the Irish Lottery has better odds than the National Lottery in UK with just over 1 in 8 million chance of winning the top prize. Although the jackpot is usually smaller than the UK one, it’s still a life-changing amount of money, and if managed properly, should mean that you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do for the rest of your life. That would be a pretty neat way to spend
your lotto winnings!
