REVIEW: Davido - Aye (Music Video) Review by Minniemarj. @marjoriefiedler

Hmmm, I remember some of the reactions couple of days ago when I released my review about Davido's latest single "Aye".

Many of you agreed to some points and others totally disagreed.

I am perfectly fine with that because that is exactly what we are here for. #Discuss Some of y'all are too quick to judge!!

Come out of your "Fan" costume and try to listen to some constructive criticism.

I pointed out that after Skelewu, the audience would definitely be looking out for a bigger hit.

I made it clear that only the music video to "Aye" will make us understand the leitmotiv behind this single.

Now the video is out and I must say that the concept is pretty much obvious.

No need to be a genius in order to understand the storyline.

The visuals to "Aye" was directed by the legendary Clarence Peters and he definitely didn't fail.

When you actually listen to the song only, you first think that the protagonist who is wealthy, finally found a Lady that isn't interested in his wealth but just his pure love.

Now, do you remember that I wrote that by listening to "Aye" I could imagine myself sitting in a Village, whilst some fine gentleman is begging for my hand"? (quoting myself) Hurray, watch the video and see for yourself!!The story seems to happen in a Village, a princess is involved but in this case, Davido is the villager who is fighting for the love of her Royal Highness!!

Hmmmm what a coincidence!! I wasn't aware of the video concept or settings before writing the song review.

Am I a fortune teller?? No, I was just open minded enough to read into the song itself.

I am sure the audience can now relate to the song through the visuals. As advised in the previous review, "Aye" would be best performed with a live band in order to enjoy the cultural sound and each spice involved in the concoction of this love song.

Great picture, Great Storyline, Great video.

Well done Davido. :-)
