Taking inspiration from Materazzi’s all-out sneaker obsession – he opened Milan’s renowned Space23 while his affinity for “His Airness” and the number 23 extends from his own jersey number to his marriage date and son’s birth date – and his trio of Air Jordan 1 tattoos, Nike Sportswearcreated a Jordan-esque collection featuring the mid-top take on the Tiempo ’94. Previewed earlier this month, the Nike Tiempo ’94 Mid “Air Jordan” collection includes a trio of nods to the original Air Jordan silhouette, each constructed with a premium leather upper and iconic color-blocking. Retailing for $135 USD each, the trio of Materazzi-designed Tiempo QuickStrikes will be available from both Nike.com and Space23 on February 23 before hitting additional NSW stockists across the globe March 1.
