The dunes of Erg Chebbi are a series of vast, sweeping sand hills located on the edge of the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Brutal and unforgiving, yet striking beautiful, these majestic, windblown formations are known for their great size, unique hue and the many myths and legends that surround them. The stunning landscape of Erg Chebbi — combined with Riccardo Tisci‘s African, “techno-tribal” themes for Spring/Summer 2014 — form the backdrop of our exclusive “Driving the Dunes of Erg Chebbi” editorial for Givenchy. Staged on a stark, man-made set, the shoot focuses on the juxtaposition between city and nature, as well as the bright primary colors, tribal-style patterns and urban silhouettes of Tisci’s latest collection.
