Hiplife Grandpapa Reggie Rockstone seems to be eyeing the vacancy left by Emmanuel Ababio (Promzy) of music group Vision In Progress (VIP).
Promzy left the prominent music group - also made up of Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), and Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy now Zeal) - after almost two decades of doing music with them.
Manager of VIP, Bull Dog confirmed to Hitz Entertainment News that Promzy is no longer a member of the award winning group.
According to him, "Promzy exited the group based on personal reasons and as a group, VIP has a calling to its fan-base and VIP is bigger than one member of the group."
Reggie Rockstone, credited with starting the hiplife music genre in Ghana, commenting on Promzy's exit on Twitter Friday said he has always wanted to be a part of the group.
He tweeted: "Just read bout my brother Promzy leaving da legendary VIP group! I shud apply to replace him! Always wanted to be in dat group! Lol! Chance"
It is however unclear whether Reggie, known for several hit songs including Plan Ben, is onlymaking fun or is really interested in the vacancy.
Promzy's exit is quite revealing, coming after the the group's latest single, Kokoko, which does not include Promzy’s image but rather Nigerian musician Terry G.
