Converse Maison Martin Margiela Collection (Video).Published by @TeeVisionUk

Maison Martin Margiela X Converse A/W13.
French-based fashion house Maison Martin Margiela has giving converse a brand new paint job literally.

Maison Martin Margiela and Converse’s new collaboration collection features a range of high-top and low-top Jack Purcell trainers which are launching in stores later this month. Solely based on out of the box creativity these sneakers are completely hand dipped in bright white paint and we mean completely. The canvas, eyelets, laces and even the soles get the same treatment.
The concept of this project is that the paint cracks as you wear them to reveal one of four colours underneath mainly based on heritage Converse colours including red, black and navy and of course Maison Martin Margiela exclusive, vintage yellow.

In a press release Maison Martin Margiela says, 'The Maison has always been obsessed with white; it is used as a layer to give an incognito feeling. A sort of poetry, with the passage of time, the shoe asserts itself'.

This shoe can sure be seen as a timeless piece based in-between a fashion statement and a work of art, to support the creativity & release the collaborators showcase the efforts in a 90sec video based on this.
Retailing at about £150, these are available at Maison Martin Margiela stores and selected converse stores from the 20th September.
