Singer, Songwriter & UN Ambassador with a passion for positive change, Lami Phillips (LAMI) was born in Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her early years. Growing up, Lami was always surrounded by all genres of music, as her parents and siblings were all music enthusiasts.
A few years after completing her Executive MBA from Pennsylvania State University, she decided to take a risk and return to Lagos, Nigeria, to start working on her debut album Intuition making waves with hits such as “Know", “Ere-ife”, “Ori Mi Wu”.
The Acoustics with Lami experiment started off during a fun studio session. Being one to enjoy the timeless classics and frequently revert to them during live performances, Afro soul sensation Lami Phillips thought to share this side of her with her fans.
The idea behind the experiment is that Lami shares excerpts of her studio sessions weekly. Every month Lami will pick a love related theme and share her interpretation of classic medleys (Nigerian and international).
