Back in early November we asked you to Get Involved and you did! When we asked for individuals and organizations from around the world to submit their ideas for Africa’s first Social Media Week, we had no idea what to expect. In the past month, we’ve had an amazing stream of submissions for Social Media Week Lagos events, talks, panel sessions, workshops, networking events and mixers. 

Right out of the gate, people were interested, submitting and sharing on Facebook and Twitter! Today Social Media Week Lagos is proud and super excited to join our Social Media Week New York City comrades in globally announcing our preliminary schedule! 10 stellar events have made the first round and although they are just a fraction of our expected total content for the February 18-22 week, we are excited to show them off!

This is just the tip of the iceberg. We have several other events in various stages of confirmation and are expecting dozens more before the January 11th submissions deadline (yup, you still have time to submit!).
