FACTORY78 - Exclusive interview with Niyi Towolawi - (Turning Point) Movie WORLD PREMIERE 12-12-12.

Niyi Towolawi is a highly creative filmmaker with a wealth of industry experience, producing several pioneering projects, and is the writer/director of "TWisTED" (Nollywood’s first film in UK cinemas) and "Turning Point". He is one of the leading filmmakers introducing the Nollywood audience to international cinema, with films of high production values.

With films showcasing people of African origin in the Diaspora, his filmmaking style is visually dynamic and engaging, while his plotlines explore elements of multi-dimensional relationships along ethnic, gender or taboo issues, and often features characters of subjective motives. He lists Ridley Scott as his all-time favourite director.

MOVIE SUMMARY
A compelling story of complacence, karma, ethnic prejudice, moral justifications and redemption.

Set in New York and Lagos, Nigeria, the plot centres around a Nigerian-American playboy that bows to family pressure to abandon his American sweetheart for an arranged wife from back home. His life is turned upside-down when the marriage turns out not too rosy, setting off a chain of events that forces him to confront his reckless past.

This intriguing plot sets the tone for thought provocative conversation and the mix of Hollywood and Nollywood stars presents a unique chemistry for a quality film experience.
