Michael Clarke Duncan, Star of ‘Green Mile,’ Dead at 54. Published by @Lanredavies

Actor Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away at the age of 54.
The Oscar-nominated actor, who appeared in films like The Green Mile and Armageddon, died at a Los Angeles hospital on Monday morning, TMZ reports.

Duncan had been going through two months of treatment following a heart attack in July.
The actor “never fully recovered” from the July 13 heart attack, a rep told TMZ.

Duncan is survived by his fiancée Omarosa Manigault, who issued a statement through a rep.
“Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date,” the rep told TMZ.

Duncan exploded onto the big screen more than a decade ago for his portrayal of John Coffey in The Green Mile with Tom Hanks. The role earned the Chicago-born actor multiple accolades, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Duncan’s final project before his tragic death is the sports film From The Rough, co-starring Taraji P. Henson and Tom Felton. The film has not yet issued a release date.
