Mark Morrison - Ni**a Ain't No Good (Official Music Video). Published by @Lanredavies

The ‘King of British R&B’, Mark Morrison has released the music video to his new track “Ni**a Ain’t No Good”, in preparation of his third album ‘I Am What I Am’ due this fall. The video is also directed by Morrison. “Ni**a Ain’t No Good” (aka “N.A.N.G.”) is a track close to Mark’s heart and the song pays homage to the charity REFUGE, who were a help and support to his cousin who had been subject to a violent relationship. Earlier this month, Morrison featured on Trae Tha Truth’s “I’m On 2.0”, alongside Big K.R.I.T., Jadakiss, J. Cole. Kendrick Lamar, B.o.B, Tyga, Gudda Gudda, and Bun B. The all-star music video landed MTV’s Jam of the Week.

Mark Morrison was the most successful British R&B singer of the mid-90s and was the first black male solo artist to reach number one in the 90s. His breakthrough single, “Return Of The Mack” became a Top-10 hit worldwide in 1996, and opened the US market for him the following year, where it reached number two, and stayed on the Billboard charts for an incredible 41 weeks. His debut album, also titled Return Of The Mack followed, and became a multiplatinum success, selling 3 million albums worldwide. Further singles “Crazy (Remix)”, “Trippin’”, “Horny” and “Moan & Groan” would all reach the UK Top-10, making him the first artist in British pop history to have five Top-10s from their debut album.

In 2006, Morrison returned with an independent release, “Innocent Man” featuring DMX. One of the most talked about artists that single-handedly pioneered the UK R&B movement of the 90’s is now back to reclaim his title. With a new album under his belt and ready to go, and his first worldwide tour in motion – The Mack is BACK! .
