MOBO nominated Loick Essien (pronounced Lu-week) is set to release his brand new single ‘Me Without You’ on Nov 6th, taken from his forthcoming debut album ‘Identity’ to be released early 2012.
Fresh from the success of his number 2 hit single ‘How We Roll’, which has sold over 220K copies, Loick is back. Having co-written the track which is mixed and produced by Mike Spencer (Kylie, Jamiroquai, Rizzle Kicks, Emeli Sande) this time he shows his vulnerable side with a raw and emotional insight into love and heartache.
Loick says: ‘There’s nothing worse than ending a relationship with someone you don’t want to break up with. This song is about trying to rebuild your life when it feels like you can’t go on without them. Everyone has felt like that at some point and it’s something we can all relate to.”
Loick Essien has become widely regarded as one of the most explosive talents in the industry releasing club tracks Love Drunk (produced by Labrinth) and Stuttering (featuring NDubz). He’s had close to three million video hits online and has recently toured with US teen sensation Alexis Jordan.
