Fatory78tv was visited recently by the incredible artist Kof whom in recent times has been described as "the future" by Bbc 1xtra dj Mista Jam. Kof a British music maestro of both Ghanian and English decent has been bubbling in the UK music underground scene for sometime now . Blessed with the gift of lyricism,a soulful voice and a music producers creativity, Kof has gained notoriety amongst UK grime and popular music heavy weights such as Wiley , Ras Kwame, DJ Target, Mistajam, Huw Stephens, Ace N Vis including numerous collaborations with Wiley, Sway, Wretch 32 to name a few. In a scene known for sunglasses at night, pretence and bravado, KOF is a diamond in the dirt. The classic 'inbetweener' who refuses to be restricted to a certain generic box or label, KOF is secure in being a true reflection of his various influences and experiences. Musically it may be best to describe KOF as a rapper/singer-songwriter who creates music that is a fusion of inner city music genres, new school flair and old school flavour, mixed with conscious lyrics and big beats.
In his interview with Factory78tv's Adesope , he talks about the release of his latest single "looking at me", the incredibly funky tune laced with soft beats and live strings is a soulful melody telling the story of a guy who spots a lady looking at him whilst beside her man. "Looking at me" displays all the facets to Kof's music ability with a bit of singing and word play thrown behind this new radio playlisted track. Not only did he bless us with an exclusive Factory78tv live performance of "Looking at me" , we also have the Afrobeats remix by Dj Edu for your listening pleasure below. Enjoy
