First time I heard about Asa, was on BBC Radio 1... now if you know anything about BBC, now to get on a station that rarely plays 'black' music especially as an African artiste is something very BIG! 

I heard she was playing at the Islington Academy, London and decided to go see this 'special one'.. I wasn't dissapointed! One of the songs that caught my attention was 'Bi banke', a sad love song.

Now my brain which can be numb sometimes suddenly sparked to life! I began considering the possibility of a remix with a more social commentry-esque prose. I managed to get  her backstage after the show and let her know what my thoughts were  (That's the pic I attached) .

The next day my boys Outtatown consisting of Femi Nuga, Jayed Out and Sazzy (RIP)  worked their production magic and blessed the track. We also shot a mock video for the project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiC1opqHcvo.

As we go into this election season I believe the lyrics to this song are more relevant than ever. There is a critical disconnect between the leaders and the masses. Change doesn't just happen, we are the change!
